Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the U.K. and all around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning they can become who they want to be.

“ When Save the Children first met Noor* in December 2020, she was four months old and suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition. Now in June 2021, Noor* is 10 months old and has improved a lot.

Her mother Safiya*, 31, has been bringing Noor* to the hospital in Taiz for regular check-ups and measurements. Safiya* remembers how ill Noor* was last year, she was worried her daughter would not survive.

Now, Noor* is no longer suffering with severe acute malnutrition and Safiya* says she can see a real difference in her daughter. She plays, is beginning to speak and enjoys it when her mother sings to her.

The family are still living in a camp for displaced people as they were forced to move because of the ongoing conflict in Yemen. “
